First of all we would like to thank all our sellers and Buyers for supporting our Sale held at Castlerea Mart, Co. Roscommon on the 7th April. Also Noel Moran, Mart Manager and Staff who are always a pleasure to deal with. Unfortunately the number of entries was well down on last years and there was no entries for non registered cattle. Only three cattle remained unsold, namely an incalf cow Railview Star in-calf to PB Shorthorn Bull, exhibited by Joe Rafferty, Kilteevan, Co. Roscommon was not sold at €1380.Two PB Bulls, Woodfield Blockbuster, exhibited by Martin McDonagh, Kiltimagh, Co. Mayo, was not sold at €2300, Gurteen Caps Bertie, (Traditional) exhibited by Dan O'Sullivan, Swanlinbar, Co. Cavan, was not sold at €1280. Top price Cow, Crega Destiny, with Heifer Calf at foot, was sold by Michael Flatley, Glan, Kilkelly, Co. Mayo for €1560 Top price In-calf Heifer, Kilbeagh Starlett, was sold by Liam O'Grady, Kilmore, Kilkelly, Co. Mayo for €1420. Top price Bull, Listigue Tiger, born 20th Feb. 2010, was sold by Joe & James Cunney, Kilmactigue, Ballymote, Co. Sligo for €1000. Top price 09 born Heifer, Gurteen Caps Bernie, was sold by Dan O'Sullivan, Swanlinbar, Co. Cavan for €1220. Top price 10 born Heifers, Bethlehem Majorett (Traditional) was sold by Thomas Fox, Athlone, for €1100. Bellvue Kelly was sold by Michael Flatley, Glan, Kilkelly, Co. Mayo for €1100.
