There was a great attendance at our Show &; Sale held in Castlerea Mart., Co.Roscommon on Saturday, 22nd October, even until the last non registered animal was sold.

Lot No. 251 Weanling Heifer, Moygara Fantastica DRO Traditional Class, sired by Lowparks Sam, was sold to a Sligo Breeder for €2020.

RESERVE CHAMPION; Exhibited by Peter Kearns, Geevagh, Co.Sligo. Lot No. 222 Maiden Heifer, Geevagh Kitty RO, sired by Lissoy Jumbo, remained unsold at €1190.

 COW CLASS

1st Prize went to Seamus Regan, Ballyglunin, Tuam, Co.Galway.

 Lot No. 109 Glunin Zulu, White, sired by Kilfrush Vantage 2nd, with registered bull calf at foot, sired by Crega Dice, was sold for €1600.

 2nd Prize went to Joe Doherty, Lurga, Charlestown.

 Lot No. 112 Sliabhbhui Jenny Deans, sired by Tierlaheen Billy 2nd was sold for €1000.

 3rd Prize went to Walter Gibbons, Four Mile House, Co.Roscommon.

 Lot No. 102 Cornashinnagh Tulu, Red, sired by Lissoy Hudson with Sim bull calf at foot was sold for €1600.

IN CALF HEIFER CLASS

1st Prize went to John P. Harte, Mullen, Frenchpark, Co.Roscommon.

2nd Prize went to Albert Oldfield, Calry, Co. Sligo.

Lot No. 150 Glenside Belinda, white, sired by Coolera Windmill, in-calf to Cloughready Miley, due 6th Dec. was sold for €1440

3rd Prize went to John Hogan, Kilmactranny, Boyle, Co. Sligo.

Lot No. 153 Leitrims Snowdrop, white, sired by Deerpark Furty, incalf to Lissoy Jumbo, 26th Jan. was sold for €1400.

1st Prize went to Joe Doherty, Lurga, Charlestown.

Lot No. 207 Kilbeagh Dice, Roan, sired by Crega Dice remained unsold at €880.

2nd Prize went to Henry Boland, Enniscrone, Co.Sligo.

 Lot No. 202 Tullylynn Eddie, Red, sired by Kilbeagh Buster, sold to Meath farmer for €880.

3rd Prize went to Joe Doherty.

Lot No. 263 Bellvue Lee, RLW, sired by Fingask Wellington was sold for €1100.

3rd Prize went to Patrick O'Boyle, Coolaney, Co.Sligo.

2010 BULLS Michael Moran, Riverstown, Co.Sligo. Lot No. 200 Barroe Boy, roan, sired by Stonmour Thundercloud was sold to a Buyer from Clare for €1450.

John Maguire, Bundoran, Co.Donegal. Lot 203, 204 Pat, & Jack, roan, both sired by Winalot Rodney, sold for €1175, €1100.

28 weanling heifers were sold, average price €1000, only 1 remained unsold.

3 non registered weanling heifers were sold, average price €910.
